Marinas & Boating on Raquette Lake
The hamlet's waterfront is a working boating harbor — rent a boat for the day, keep your own in a slip, or let someone else drive on a cruise around the lake.
Raquette Lake is big enough to explore for days: long bays, wooded islands, the Great Camps along the shore, and St. William's Church on Long Point, reachable only by water. The marinas in the hamlet are a short trip from the cabin and are the easiest way onto the lake.
Boating Tips
Reserve rentals and slips early for July, August, and holiday weekends.
Raquette Lake is large and can get windy in the afternoon — plan longer crossings for the morning.
Every boat needs a life jacket for each person aboard, and New York requires a boating safety certificate for operators of motorized boats.
Clean, drain, and dry your boat, kayak or canoe between lakes to keep invasive species out of the Adirondacks.
